Closer - The Chainsmokers ft. Halsey (Formal Video)

Information

The Chainsmokers and Halsey's crush move pop two part harmony "Closer" has been so pervasive these most recent couple of months - the total of which they've spent on top the Billboard Hot 100 - that you won't not have acknowledged it didn't have a video yet. In any case, starting today (Oct. 24), the melody is inadequate with regards to a visual no more, with the coordinated effort's authentic clasp at last dropping on VEVO.

The video is about what you'd expect for such a candidly stacked pop melody: a mess of Halsey and co-Smoker Drew Taggart singing at each other, while cutaways streak back (and potentially forward) to tell the emotional circular segment of their relationship. There's a lot of making out in different conditions of uncover, there's a sleeping cushion with the sheet detached the cover, and there's Halsey looking lovely in what is probably a lodging bar. (No Blink-182 cameo, however, tragically - must've been occupied all alone late video shoot.)

Watch the "Bad and Boujee" upstairs.

Lyric & Meanings

Hey, I was doing just fine before I met you
I drink too much and that's an issue
But I'm OK
Hey, you tell your friends it was nice to meet them
But I hope I never see them
Again

I know it breaks your heart
Moved to the city in a broke-down car
And four years, no calls
Now you're looking pretty in a hotel bar
And I, I, I, I, I can't stop
No, I, I, I, I, I can't stop

So, baby, pull me closer
In the back seat of your Rover
That I know you can't afford
Bite that tattoo on your shoulder
Pull the sheets right off the corner
Of that mattress that you stole
From your roommate back in Boulder
We ain't ever getting older

We ain't ever getting older
We ain't ever getting older

You look as good as the day I met you
I forget just why I left you,
I was insane
Stay and play that Blink-182 song
That we beat to death in Tucson,
OK

I know it breaks your heart
Moved to the city in a broke-down car
And four years, no call
Now I'm looking pretty in a hotel bar
And I, I, I, I, I can't stop
No, I, I, I, I, I can't stop

So, baby, pull me closer
In the back seat of your Rover
That I know you can't afford
Bite that tattoo on your shoulder
Pull the sheets right off the corner
Of that mattress that you stole
From your roommate back in Boulder
We ain't ever getting older

We ain't ever getting older
We ain't ever getting older

So, baby, pull me closer
In the back seat of your Rover
That I know you can't afford
Bite that tattoo on your shoulder
Pull the sheets right off the corner
Of that mattress that you stole
From your roommate back in Boulder
We ain't ever getting older

We ain't ever getting older
No, we ain't ever getting older
We ain't ever getting older
No, we ain't ever getting older
We ain't ever getting older
We ain't ever getting older
We ain't ever getting older
No, we ain't ever getting older

We ain't ever getting older
No, we ain't ever getting older
